Erasing Bad Credit????
October 20th, 2009 10:38 AM
In this economy, many people's credit scores have dropped, sometimes drastically.  It is unfortunate, but when someone loses their job, and the bills still need to be paid and don't get paid, one's credit will suffer.  If this has happened to you, don't sign up with a company that claims to ERASE your negative credit information for credit bureaus' files.  It is not possible if your poor credit is true and accurate.  Furthermore, these companies are NOT ALLOWED to charge a fee prior to helping you with your finances.  It is against the law.  A Federal law.  It may be tempting to work with a company that tells you they can eliminate your bad credit especially for those who want to buy their first home, but are having trouble getting financing because of their credit reports.  There are companies out there that can help you manage your finances, but again, they cannot charge you for that until after the service has been completed.  In the meantime, work with your creditors if you are having a problem paying your bills.  Something for them is better than nothing, and it shows your creditors that you are trying to pay your bills even if not all that able.
